I used to use SpeedDownload and was bummed when they went out of business. Just on a whim I searched around for a replacment tonight while watching a really slow download of Ubuntu and decided to take a chance on this. My main interest was the spliiting the download into multiple segments (or sessions). It tricks the server into thinking they’re 10 different people downloading, thus using more bandwidth. Well let me tell you this thing rocks. I had 8 more minutes in my Safari download (was originally 40 minutes) and just for fun used the same link and started it downloading in this program and it took all of 5 minutes!! It actually finished BEFORE the one that was 30 minutes into the download still. So, from this very small limited test, I would say this thing is what I was missing. Just think of all the time something like this can save if you have a good internet connection (I have 100 mbps down). Well worth the price, even if I had paid for all of the pro features. But I really only wanted the one so it was even cheaper. This is probably not as full featured and detailed as SpeedDownload was. That seemed almost more of a advanced user program, but this is simpler to use for most I’m sure. Stop reading this review and download it now!

This application is fantastic for the Mac user who likes/loves to download videos,pictures,audio,articles,etc...There is no confusion while running.I must say that its the best download manager I have ever seen!!Works really great!!Thanks to creaters for making this amazing and awesome app....

Been looking around a while for a Mac internet download manager and came across this. Does what it does and is fully functional even without purchasing the PRO options.

It’s good and convincing.

Please add the feature to catch all/some links (like dmg, zip, mp4, etc) and download using folx. That’ll make it a 5 star app.

The app’s dev is completely incompetent and doesn’t fix bugs that are reported. I was downloading a 40GB file and this app stopped at 38.99 with a “Don’t have permission to write” error! I will be asking for a refund for the in app purchases I made. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Basic rag-tag download manager with a nice GUI.

Because of the bad Internet access I need an app which allows scheduling downloads. Folx does this task fine.

Flawlessly works together with my web browser. Havent had any problems with it.

I use it to resume big files download as I dont want to start everything from the beginning in case it was interrupted.

You should add the function as JDownload from hostings, and the design should be re-done its HORRIBLE

Great Downloader For Mac But! if He can download videos for website it will be The Best Mac Downloader Ever!!

I had bought full version of flox go it’s one best download applictaion for mac and download speeed and reabilty is awesome

I have the pro version but 10 thread is not enough for me. I hope they update the pro version where you can manually add a number of threads you want. Giving it a 4 out of 5 because of not being able to add more threads.

i like the previous version better, beacause you could choose the folder you wanted the download s to go. In this version yoyu only have the option to save them in the downloads folder
